The next Speaker Club is Wednesday 29 July
Where: Patch at Bobby’s, The Square, Bournemouth. BH2 5LP
Time: 6.30 for 7pm start. finish at 9pm.
This session’s all about…
Audience Analysis & Adaptation: It’s all about them.
- Know your audience.
- Who are they and why should they care.
- Reading and responding to different audiences.
Remember it’s not about you it’s about the audience. Before you start writing your talk do the research.
In this session we’ll look at how and why you should get to know your audience before you even enter the room.
- Who are they? What’s their role, experience level and what’s brought them into the room.
- What’s in it for them (not for you 😄) Do they want to be inspired or motivated, educated or entertained?
- What do they already believe or know?
As speech writer, speaker, and CEO, Nancy Duarte says they (the audience) are the hero; you are the mentor. You are YODA to their Luke Skywalker.
Give them what they need and not always what they expect.

You don’t need to be a seasoned speaker to get something out of this. Whether you freeze up on stage, feel unsure how you come across, or just want to feel more at home in your own skin — come along, have some fun, and leave with skills you’ll actually use.
If you want to transform your speaking journey and build your confidence throughout the year then join us.
