This session’s all about…
Storytelling & Engagement
Why is the Art of Storytelling important?
How do you connect to your audience through stories and why is telling them good for business?
We, humans, have been telling stories since the world began. Our ancestors sat round the campfire sharing their knowledge, passing on what they’d heard or learnt from previous generations.
Stories are the brains interpreter. We don’t just recount events when we tell stories — we interpret them.
Whether it’s an origin story, a “this is where we are” story or a “this is what went wrong” one, it has structure: beginning, middle, end, cause and effect.
Stories give complicated information context and stories from lived experience are often the ones that resonate with the audience and make the speaker more relatable.

You don’t need to be a seasoned speaker to get something out of this. Whether you freeze up on stage, feel unsure how you come across, or just want to feel more at home in your own skin — come along, have some fun, and leave with skills you’ll actually use.
If you want to transform your speaking journey and build your confidence throughout the year then join us.
