The next Speaker Club is Wednesday 29 April
Where: Patch at Bobby’s, The Square, Bournemouth. BH2 5LP
Time: 6.30 for 7pm start. finish at 9pm.
This session: Body language & physical presence
Posture, gestures, and stage presence.
You’ll never get a second chance to make a great first impression!
You may have heard the popular theory that it takes just 7-seconds for someone to decide whether they like you or not. However, deeper research suggests that the decision is made by your gut a lot faster than that and certainly before you’ve even had the chance to say a word!
Your posture, your walk, the way you hold your hands… your body is talking using its own language.
This Speaker Club session is all about getting in on that conversation.
We’ll explore the powerful — and often overlooked — language of the body. From how you walk into a room to where you place your hands, every movement sends a message.
We’ll dig into what confidence actually looks like from the outside, explore where real charisma comes from, and play around with using energy to light up a room. It’s hands-on, a little silly at times, and genuinely eye-opening.
You don’t need to be a seasoned speaker to get something out of this. Whether you freeze up on stage, feel unsure how you come across, or just want to feel more at home in your own skin — come along, have some fun, and leave with skills you’ll actually use.
If you want to transform your speaking journey and build your confidence throughout the year then join us.
