The next Speaker Club is Wednesday 25 February

Where: Patch at Bobby’s, The Square, Bournemouth. BH2 5LP

Time: 6.30 for 7pm start. finish at 9pm.

The second session of the NEW membership programme where each month is a interactive workshop on a specific theme.

February’s is all about handling the dreaded nerves.

According to the National Institute of National health 73% of the public are GLOSSOPHOBIC – that is they fear speaking to a group of people.

This fear of being judged, making a fool of yourself, or not being good enough can be debilitating.

The anxiety stems from the thoughts or beliefs that make you feel restless, tense and are hard to control. They can affect you emotionally, often creating physical symptoms such as pounding in the chest, shortness of breath and dizziness.

So, how do you keep calm under pressure?

With practical tips and techniques to help you manage your speaking anxiety.

I’ll share simple and effective ways you can control the jitters and keep focused –  plus, a little bit of the theory behind it, too.

If you want to transform your speaking journey and build your confidence throughout the year then join us.

SLAS Club is a great place to be, full of likeminded people who want to grow and become better speakers. However, the main part that I love is blimmin' Jackie. She’s just so fabulous. Knows her stuff 100% and has a such a way of doing things that really just makes everyone better.

I have hugely enjoyed being a part of the Speaker Club. With my own personal catalyst holding me back from public speaking, Jackie (and all that have been at the sessions) have made me improve just in this short time! Everyone is v. inclusive, encouraging and downright cool.

Coming to Speaker Club has been an enormous boon, Jackie. I've developed the skill to share more in front of people as well as the confidence that it will have an impact.
